While adoption is what we are now pursuing, the conversation about growing our family by way of adoption began before we were married. Clay has always had the desire to adopt. Through conversations and research Melissa was on board for adoption as well. We both believe God is active in guiding our decisions as we pray about starting our family. As Christians we believe Jesus, God’s one son, made a way to God for us through his perfect life, death and resurrection. Because God’s sacrifice for us and our adoption into His family we believe He is worthy of trusting all of our days. God is the reason we can love, step into hard circumstances, have peace and joy and be equipped for this life. We trust him to guide us in our adoption journey, marriage and in every parenting decisions.
